I remember playing board games back when I was really young. Travis and our sister and I would play a lot of Clue, Mastermind, 13 Dead End Drive (remember that one?!). They’ve always been around, but I would say I started seriously playing board games in 2012 or so. Like everyone else, I have Travis to thank for that also. My collection is probably the smallest of the four of us, but I love what I have.

If we’re talking themes, I like superheroes, fantasy and mystery. Oh, and dinosaurs! Dinosaurs are always a win, in and outside the board game realm.

In terms of mechanics, I like dice- or deck-building games. I like being able to begin with one specific starting point and seeing how my character/deck/etc. can evolve. (I also like evolution as a theme. I guess it’s the scientist in me.) I like games where the board itself can help/hinder your strategy, where it’s interactive. And it’s gotta be pretty, too. I’m a sucker for beauty.
